If you need more explanation on how to install and use them, let me know! FruityUIįruityUI is an open source application which is based on open-source Razer drivers for macOS. I haven’t tried them - but maybe they work. In case none of the above works, there are some open source alternatives for Razer drivers on macOS. By disabling it, you might allow apps to tamper with files they should not tamper with. Please note that SIP is there because it is useful. SIP is a security-measure to protect system critical files and can be disabled in recovery mode. If you have trouble with allowing the extension and the “allow” button does not appear, you might need to disable System Integrity Protection. It should now be detected and everything should be working! Additional fix Afterwards, just launch Razer Synapse, connect your device. There should be a note at the bottom where you can click “Open Anyway”. Enter your user credentials and you’re ready to approve the kernel extension. Inside System Preferences → Security & Privacy, you will need to unlock the settings by clicking on the lock icon in the bottom left. Additionally, a popup should tell you that a System Extension has been updated and you’ll find a button to go Security Preferences directly. Enter “sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/RazerHid.kext” and press EnterĪn error will show up, saying the kext is not approved to load and you should approve so in System Preferences.Open the Terminal (⌘ + Space → “Terminal”).This automatically happens if you install Razer Synapse, but if it’s already installed, you’ll need to directly load the kernel extension yourself. Now, as you are in your normal Big Sur, we’re going to load the kernel extension. Afterwards, just reboot your machine (you can execute ‘reboot’ in the terminal). Make sure the Razer ID (R2H967U8J8) is inside this list. When executing the command, you’ll see a list of Allowed Team Identifiers in the terminal.

On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload filename.zip (Optionally) : If you want to install any additional add-ons, click Advanced, then Reboot to Recovery, then when your device reboots, click Apply Update, then Apply from ADB, then adb sideload filename.

I tried everything to get this going, including building it from source. What we’ll need to do is add Razer to the allowed developers for kernel extensions - we’ll basically add the Razer ID (R2H967U8J8) to the list of allowed kernel extension developers. I hope this helps some people & saves yall time trying to figure this out.

I think we need to update the readme to tell people the app is fully controlled via the small icon in the menu bar at the top until we get an in-app nav bar going so we can do all the menu-icon actions within the main window. Once I click the icon, I see my devices and can control them from there, the main window will pop up again for certain things like custom color settings and it'll have device-specific settings. Since there's no in-app nav bar (that'd be a great feature request / addition btw), this app's basically controlled through the menu icon at the top. It just slyly adds a small icon in the mac menu bar at the top of the screen with this icon:Īt this point I never saw that icon and if i go and try to open Razer macOS from the applications folder again (like I think many of us here have tried) we'll see this screen:Īnd that's where we usually get stuck lol.

When I first click to open Razer macOS from the application menu, no windows pop up. But I think we need to update the app's readme so that people are aware that the app's main navigation/interaction comes from that small menu icon. go past a Please connect a Razer device message/apply the custom key bindings). Once i quit or restart the vanilla app I saw the icon. I do have a pair of legacy Razer devices (Naga Chroma and Tartarus). It ended up being a glitch with another app I use to manage/show/hide top menu bar app icons (the app i use is called Vanilla).
